Andrew Lumsdaine is professor of Computer Science and director of Center for Research in Extreme Scale Technologies at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. He is an Associate Director of the Digital Science Center and Director of the Open Systems Lab. Lumsdaine received his Ph.D. from MIT in 1992 and from 1992 through 2001. His research interests include computational science and engineering, parallel and distributed computing, software engineering, generic programming, mathematical software, and numerical analysis. He has had many major contributions to Plenoptic theory and its applications.
